I've made it as far as JFK. :) I've got a 5 hour layover but, once I took the train to my terminal, I really only have to sit here for 3 hours. Sadly, I haven't found free wifi at the gate like SeaTac so I'm updating via my phone.
I had grand plans to use an unlocked iphone with an international sim card while I was in Africa. It includes free incoming text messages. When I finished packing my bags, I couldn't find the phone. I had it the day before so I'm frustrated it's missing. Oh well, I didn't NEED it. Being more disconnected is probably a good thing. :)
My next flight is about 13 hours long which should be interesting. Somehow I lost my sweet reserved seat. Another opportunity to be flexible.
I'll work on some more blog posts on the flight but please keep praying! And drop me an email if you get a chance!
I'm going to try to include a link to a short film about the place I will staying and helping out.

This blog began is an outlet for my thoughts on my month long adventure to southern Africa to explore poverty and how to battle it. Now the blog will continue as I wrestle with those ideas and many more. I hope you join me for more steps in my adventures with The King!!!
