Bad news, rough week then a MIRACLE!

When I arrived at SeaTac last Thursday evening, I was met at the security gate by all my nephews and nieces which was a fun surprise! A great welcome back after a month on the other side of the globe. We all went to McDonalds for dinner and my brother and friend Todd had me join them in another booth to hear about my trip. Then they dropped the bomb that my mom had been initially diagnosed with either cancer that had gone into the bones or leukemia. Neither of which looked good. Nothing like getting kicked in the stomach as soon as I landed home.

The next couple days were spent celebrating my mom's 80th birthday with lots of family and friends. She has been tired and in some pain but was able to enjoy the time with everyone.

The week continued with a couple days at work and a few times to try and process this new development and begin thinking about Africa and what all that means. It included a tough conversation with a great friend since we had to part ways and go our separate directions. Thankfully it also included a lot of time with great friends that were able to cry and laugh with me. I am very blessed.

The prayer has been for a miracle knowing that the two options the oncologist gave were both horrible. Wednesday my mom had a biopsy on the bone in her leg to try and find out which it was and how to treat the pain. This morning was a call from the doctor with results...

He was floored! God has worked another miracle! It was neither of what he was sure it was last week! It is still a cancer but he believes it is completely treatable and no longer a death sentence!!! God answers prayers so don't quit asking Him!

Today I rejoice in the fact that my family was given a reprieve. The Lord listened and honored our request. We give Him all the credit and will praise Him for His miracle.

PRAISE THE LORD!!!

I'm listening to angels sing in celebration of God working another miracle here on earth!
